Car park was great plenty of room for everyone. Check in was great, girl on reception was outstanding. She was very interested in our needs, and couldn't do enough for us. We had a drink in ghe bar, it was very clean and comfortable. We had our rooms a double room, and a family room. They were outstanding rooms, immaculately clean and fresh, bed, and bed linen was incredible. On leaving the next day , we had a phone call to say we had left a mobile phone on yhe room. We called back for it and we're very grateful, it just shows how honest and trustworthy the staff are. So if you are just passing through the town, stay a night at travelodge, it will be a memory you will always remember.

The room was clean but smelt so we had to have the window open all night, which was a shame as the traffic was noisy.

Nice clean hotel, easy to find, and plenty of parking. Spacious room and comfy bed too. Food in the breakfast buffet (available from 7am) could have been warmer but it was OK. Great for an overnight stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights in March 2025. It's perfectly situated next door to the fabulous Black Country Living Museum. Car parking is free and there's a couple of disabled spaces and electric charging points, opposite the entrance. Our first impressions were awful. The receptionist with pink hair kept us waiting for quite some time. There was a lady stood at the reception wanting help with her phone. Instead of acknowledging us she kept disappearing whilst the lady did the next stage of fiddling on her phone. Why she wasn't able to check us in, I'll never know. Was she inexperienced or just not interested? Eventually we were spoken to and given our room card. I put our things in room 8 and came back to join my partner. We decided to get something to eat here. That was a mistake for several reasons. The lack of service or attention was continuing. It was well less than half full but orders were wrong, poorly presented and taking a long time. Listening to other customers complaining was not reassuring. Blessing was pleasant enough but our order took about an hour. It was obvious that they were struggling and the meals were poor. There were no chips, for example and had been replaced with a woeful small amount of waffle type chips. My 'salad' was just dirty old lettuce and my partner's dinner was lacking the cheese as described on the menu. It was like it was off the children's menu! No big surprise: We did not eat there the second night. Even if it had been free, we were going somewhere else. I'm so glad we did not pre-book evening meals. In the event, we enjoyed Mad O'Rourkes Pie factory. It's a few junctions down the main road but worth the walk. The room appeared clean enough and comfortable but then you start to notice that it's not been cleaned properly. Hair in the sink and shower, along with algae in places. To top it all, the sink was not draining properly. My guess is that someone had disposed of food or been sick, as little bits of food were floating up on the water that was not flowing away. The kettle was disgusting. It was well past its best and suffering from a build up of limescale scum. It was getting late and yes, you guessed, there was nobody to speak to. We decided to leave it until the morning. After a decent sleep in a clean comfortable bed, we went for breakfast. The lady on reception with short dark hair, was a breath of fresh air. Before we got back from breakfast she told us that our issues were sorted. Breakfast was pleasantly presented and well stocked. Apart from the sausages, it was nice. For the price and the location, it was worth a couple of nights here but the evening meal was awful and a couple of little issues. This could have been better but it's the little things that spoil it.

Room was as you would expect basic but does the job. Aircon did not work. This prem inn is 10 mins walk from town center and Zoo. Although I would not recommend the town. Restaurant menu is very basic only 5 or so main courses. Plenty of eating choices on the estate the hotel is on and a cinema. Aircon in room was broken and as usual quality of cooked breakfast was not great.

We’d booked accommodation for a house, that was completely revolting, we booked Travelodge after visiting the accommodation, unfortunately booked for a month in advance, Katie sorted us all out, and the first thing we did is jump into the shower to get clean after the revolting accommodation we’d booked, we went straight to Travelodge as we knew were we stood, knowing the rooms were clean and the shower was too. Not to mention incredible beds

Easy parking and check-in, well furnished and mostly well stocked room - no bottled water - comfy bed and excellent shower, very clean and stylish decor. Dinner service poor, the waitress completely oblivious to customers desperate to order and requiring service, huge gaps when no server in sight (who also doubled as receptionist and washer upper, in kitchen much of the time), and even then didn’t glance across room to check who needs what. Dinner itself was ok but sensed microwave food. Range of Breakfast items good, but supposedly hot food barely tepid which made it unpalatable. Sum up: eat elsewhere, otherwise excellent
